The Phillies and Nationals are playing on Sunday Night Baseball live from Williamsport, PA, home of the Little League World Series. The James Harden and Philadelphia Sixers saga continues as Harden continues to be vocal on social media about being wronged by the Sixers and Daryl Morey. The Philadelphia Eagles tied the Cleveland Browns, 18-18, on Thursday evening in game two of the NFL preseason. The Eagles host the Indianapolis Colts this Thursday for their third and final preseason home game. Join Thomas Arnone, Nick DelGozzo, Brian Wilson, and Greg Milakovic as they look back at the Phillies and Nationals game and weekend series. The Phillies started the weekend off slowly by losing Friday night’s game in disappointing fashion and then going through the motions in Saturday’s game until the 7th inning. The Phillies offense was on the struggle bus until Nick Castellanos launched a 3 run home run to tie the game in the 7th inning. What happened in the 8th inning is still shocking but boy was it fun. Trea Turner started the scoring hitting a solo home run to lead off the 8th inning. Bryson Stott broke the game open by hitting a 3 run home run later in the inning, followed by another solo home run from Turner to cap the scoring in the 8th. The Phillies ended up winning 12-3. The Phillies won series’ against the Kansas City Royals and the Washington Nationals before losing the final series against the Minnesota Twins. As the Philadelphia Sixers struggle to find a trade partner for “superstar” James Harden he has fired back and mentioned that he will not report to training camp. The Philadelphia Eagles opened up the preseason losing to the Baltimore Ravens 20-19 Saturday night. Join Thomas, Nick, Brian, and Greg as they discuss the homestand for the Phillies. Despite ending with a winning 6-4 record, this homestand for the Phillies was a disappointment. Join the fellas and let them know if you agree or disagree with that statement. The Phillies lost the first game of the homestand to the Royals and then the second game of the double header to the Nationals bringing the Twins to town. The Phillies started off the weekend by scoring 13 runs against the Twins on Friday only to score 1 run in Saturday and Sunday’s games combined. With losing 2 out of 3 to the Twins the Phillies ended the homestand at 6-4. The Phillies faced 3 teams that they are better than and should have at least gone 7-3 if not 8-2 on this homestand. Trea Turner has seemed to turn things around and is riding a 9 game hit streak after receiving standing ovations to start the Royals series. The Philadelphia Sixers naturally are struggling to find a trade partner for Captain Crumb James Harden. Harden has announced that he will not show up for training camp despite his agent claiming he’s as hungry as he’s ever been while being in superb shape. After sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week the Phillies struggled once again in Miami taking on the Miami Marlins. Nick Castellanos and Craig Kimbrel will represent the Phillies this year in Seattle at the All Star Game. The annual MLB Draft will take place Sunday night to kick off the festivities of the All Star Game, the Phillies have the 27th overall pick in tonight’s First Round. Join Thomas, Nick, Brian, and Greg as they look back at what should be a great 4-2 road trip through Florida for the Phillies. The Philadelphia Phillies will make the playoffs. After sweeping the Rays and rallying in the opening game on Friday to steal a win, the Phillies lost the series to the Marlins losing 2 out of 3 games. Aaron Nola’s consistency issues continue to rear its ugly head this year. Nola shut down the Rays on Tuesday with 12 strikeouts over 7 ⅓ innings then on Sunday gave up 4 earned runs, and 3 home runs, through 6 innings against the Marlins.
