Week 4 in the NFL seemed like a flashback to Week 3 with more shoddy officiating and Tom Brady doing his G.O.A.T. thang! Then reality set in and Carolina pulled off the upset with a last second field goal in Foxborough. For all you fantasy owners who gave up on Marcus Mariota, pass that shit over here! If I said it once, I’ve said it 100 times… the game of fantasy is one of patience (6/10 passing for 96 yards, 39 yards rushing and two scores – including a 34-yard TD scamper). A hamstring injury knocked him out prematurely, so maybe you all had some foresight! Zeke had himself a day as a ruling on his suspension could come at any moment (21-85-1; 4-54-1). Didn’t matter as the young Rams did just enough to win a nailbiter, 35-30. The Eagles gutted out a tremendous road win in Southern California to move to 3-1, tops in the NFC East heading into Monday night. The New York Football Giants remain winless; their season may be over already. Has it been stated in one of these wrap-up articles yet how privileged we are to have TD celebrations back?! JuJu Smith-Schuster did his best Ryu with a “Hadouken!”

The 49ers lost a nine field goal, overtime game vs the Cardinals (third game in the last quarter century with nine combined FGs). Well, this post says it better than I can: LONDON CALLING

The New Orleans Saints battled the Miami Dolphins in jolly olde England. The play was as sloppy as the weather. Good thing London likes soccer… they are used to low scoring games. There was no rhythm in this game, as both sides were consistently stopping themselves with penalties. It didn’t help that communications went down in the 1st quarter. These games are boring and should be abandoned at this point. I get that the NFL wants to show their product around the world, but what kind of product are you showing with 44 jet-lagged players? It’s time to walk away, but you know fucking Roger Goodell won’t admit failure. He’s a stubborn, obsolete mule!

WEEK 3 KEY INJURIES

Dalvin Cook (knee): Cook was breaking on a monster run, when the dreaded “non-contact injury” came up and bit the Minnesota Vikings’ rookie running back. Prognosis: Initially diagnosed with nearly complete ACL tear, Cook is set to undergo an MRI on his knee. Fantasy Impact: You can grab Latavius Murray (18% owned), but would be better off switching teams cause Murray is dogshit! Look at Alvin Kamara (see Notable Rookie Performances). Other Injury News • Michael Crabtree (IA; chest) • Julio Jones (hip flexor) • Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) • Marcus Mariota (hamstring) • Derek Carr (lower back) • Marquise Goodwin (concussion) • Chris Carson (left leg/knee) • Olivier Vernon (ankle)

NOTABLE ROOKIE PERFORMANCES

Alvin Kamara: Kamara was the only real highlight of the London game this week, catching all 10 targets and netting 71 yards with a TD (also rushed 5 times for 25 yards… I’m no mathematician, but I believe that’s 5.0 YPC). • Deshaun Watson (25/34-283-4; 4-24-1) – This guy is fucking legit!!! • Leonard Fournette (24-86; 4-59-1) • Elijah McGuire (10-93-1) WEEKLY STAT LEADERS (HEADING INTO MONDAY NIGHT)

MNF PREVIEW

Washington Redskins @ Kansas City Chiefs (Arrowhead Stadium, 8:30 EST): Traveling to Arrowhead is never a fun assignment, but the team from Washington will be riding high after a big time 27-10 victory over the Raaaaaiders. The Washington defense has been the story, holding opposing RBs to 3.4 YPC (3rd rush DVOA/14th fewest FP allowed to RBs; see pass stats below). This will be the cornerstone of this battle (also see below). I believe this game will be a close defensive battle, as east coast teams usually don’t travel well, even in primetime matchups. KC’s defense is no slouch themselves, even without Eric Berry, and is 5th vs. RBs in DVOA. I would avoid questionable Fat Rob in fantasy, although Chris Thompson makes for an interesting PPR play. Chiefs win 17-13 • Betting Info: • Chiefs -6 O/U 49.5 (so take Washington with the under) • Team Totals: Skins – 21.5, Chiefs – 28 • Fantasy Projections: Standout rookie Kareem Hunt will have a huuuuge night on MNF. Not a bold statement, I realize this, but the consensus #1 ranked RB this week will benefit as Washington has been great against the pass (grading out as the 10th best pass coverage unit at PFF – 7th DVOA). How do the two correlate, you ask? When Alex Smith can’t hit his WRs, Kareem will eat as he will represent the ENTIRE Chiefs offense. I believe he will overcome Washington’s run D, as they have put up the aforementioned stats against the likes of old man Beast Mode and the mess in Philadelphia, while holding Todd Gurley to under 100 yards. Primetime game… get your popcorn ready!
