Joel Embiid led the Philadelphia 76ers with 23 points as they defeated the Miami Heat 105 - 104 at the Wells Fargo Center in the Play-In Game. With the win the Sixers are now locked in as the 7th seeded team in the Eastern Conference and will face the 2nd seed New York Knicks in the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs. Nicolas Batum carried the Sixers in the 2nd half ending the game with 20 points. Tyrese Maxey scored 19 points and Kelly Oubre Jr finished with 11 points. Tyler Herro led the Heat with 25 points, Jimmy Butler scored 19 points, and Jaime Jaquez Jr scored 15 points. Kyle Schwarber homers twice and Trea Turner homers once as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies 7 - 6 and sweep the Rockies out of town. The Chicago White Sox come to Philadelphia on Friday to face the Phillies this weekend.

"I find it amusing that while any other player with a 23 and 15 game would be celebrated, for him it's like, 'Hmm, he looks a little sluggish right now,' because that's become the norm for his production. His usual output is more like 35 points, 15 to 17 rebounds per game. That's the level of impact you expect from Embiid when he's at full strength.

Absolutely, I agree. Tonight, he didn't seem to have his usual explosiveness, but I don't think it's solely due to his knee. It's also because he hasn't fully regained his conditioning yet. Playing in a playoff atmosphere is intense, and you can't replicate that in practice. However, the more he plays in this series, the better he'll get. It'll help him regain his strength and endurance. By the time we face Boston, he'll be even better."

The Philadelphia Flyers close out their season tonight against the Washington Capitals. They are not eliminated from Playoff Contention but the odds are not in their favor. They need a lot of help from 2 other teams in order to make their Playoff dreams come true. Fortunately for the Flyers, the Caps are playing their 3 game in 4 days. That could benefit the Flyers heading into this game. Since the beginning of April, the Flyers have been very up and down with their play. So now that the College Hockey season is over, the biggest question has been answered. The new most hated athlete in Philly Cutter Gauthier has signed his Entry Level Contract with the Anaheim Ducks. He is coming off of an upsetting loss to the University of Denver in the Frozen Four Finals. He was also drafted 5th overall by the Flyers before being traded to Anaheim for Jamie Drysdale and a pick. What kind of career will Cutter have?
