Nick Foles is a franchise quarterback - Philadelphia Eagles

Nick Foles could be a franchise quarterback. Just not for this Eagles franchise. Call me crazy, but the numbers back it up.

Almost every QB has looked awful in his Jeff Fisher’s system. So, if you take away his below average season with in St. Louis, Nick’s numbers are outstanding. In 2015, he threw just 7 touchdowns to go along with 10 interceptions in just 11 games. It looked like his career was lost behind that terrible offensive line. He contemplated retirement. He decided to return to football and signed with the Chiefs last offseason. He filled in well for Alex Smith, which is why the Eagles felt the need to bring him back. He is a much better option than Chase freaking Daniel.

In all other years of his career, he’s looked like a quarterback that belongs in this league. A quarterback that should be starting. Take away 2015, and Foles has 59 career touchdown passes (5 in the postseason) to just 19 interceptions. A career QB rating of 94.9.

Speaking of ratings, Nick Foles just gets in done in the playoffs. Some guys are just born to play in that moment. Sounds like a franchise QB to me.

It just seems like nothing phases this guy. All week he had to hear about how good this Minnesota defense is, and all he did was go out and ball.

He may not be the franchise guy in Philly, but I’d be shocked if teams didn’t come calling this offseason.
